BA World Cargo named 'Carrier of the Year' at CIFFA Eastern Division (25/06/2007)

British Airways World Cargo's Canadian team walked off with top honours at the recent Canada International Freight Forwarders Association (CIFFA) Eastern Region Awards, winning a raft of awards including 'Carrier of the Year'.

BA World Cargo was also voted 'Carrier of Choice to Africa' and 'Carrier of Choice to the Middle East' at the Montreal event attended by over 450 freight forwarders.

David Shepherd, vice president commercial for the Americas, said: "Receiving these awards from Canada's freight forwarding community is a real honour and testament to the superb performance of our Montreal team, who have worked closely with our customers in the region to identify their specific needs and deliver outstanding products and services."

BA World Cargo enjoyed similar success at the Central Division CIFFA Awards in April 2007, being nominated in seven out of the nine categories and winning 'Carrier of the Year'; 'Carrier of Choice to Africa'; 'Carrier of Choice to Europe' and 'Carrier of Choice to the Middle East'.

Members of CIFFA's Eastern Division vote for airlines based on their professionalism; service; innovation; partnering and commitment to the forwarding community.
