Statement on fuel surcharge (28/08/2008)

British Airways World Cargo has announced a reduction to its fuel surcharge. The surcharge will be GBP0.72 / USD1.10 / EUR1.10 with effect from 11 September 2008.

The fuel surcharge reduction follows a second consecutive week that the fuel index has been below the level 22 threshold. The index was developed by BA World Cargo to provide customers with more information about the calculation of fuel surcharges. It is updated every week and posted on this website.

Adam Carson, senior manager revenue management, said: "This is the third fuel surcharge reduction we have made in recent weeks, following corresponding decreases in the cost of fuel."
