Statement on fuel surcharge (27/10/2008)

British Airways World Cargo has announced a reduction to its fuel surcharge. The surcharge will be GBP0.54 / USD0.80 / EUR0.80, with effect from 10 November 2008.

The fuel surcharge reduction follows a second consecutive week that the fuel index has been below the level 16 threshold. The index was developed by BA World Cargo to provide customers with more information about the calculation of fuel surcharges. It is updated on a weekly basis and posted on this website.

Adam Carson, senior manager revenue management, said:"Following another drop in fuel costs and in line with our index, we are reducing the fuel surcharge by a further two levels."
