Second Chicago freighter service added (06/04/2009)
British Airways World Cargo has announced the launch of an additional weekly freighter routing to Chicago in response to commercial demand.
From 1 April 2009, as part of our summer schedule, the additional Boeing 747-400F service doubles our weekly frequency to and from Chicago. It routes Stansted-Frankfurt-Chicago-Atlanta and customers now have the choice of sending freight on this new day 3 service or on the existing day 6 service - which routes Stansted-Frankfurt-Chicago-Houston - enabling greater access to our unrivalled worldwide network.
David Shepherd, senior vice president, Europe and the Americas, commented: ''This new flight has been implemented in response to customer demand in the region. It gives our customers greater flexibility by increasing the range of main deck freight options available, especially to the Middle East."
